When Bismarkia is young can turn purple. One in my garden looked a lot like that during the winter but recently it's starting to turn more silver as it gets larger. Crazy how red the petioles are looking!

Yes, it is Bismarckia, no doubt, Latania could never make it here because of the cold, but the red is really stunning this year
