Chamaedorea klotzschiana 1g seedlings x4

PalmatierMeg

This tall, solitary Chamaedorea is native to rainforests of Mexico. It can reach up to 12' tall with a prominently ringed 1" diameter stem and green crownshaft. What immediately drew me to this elegant beauty was its crown of puckered leaves. It grows very well in SFL but my research indicates this species also does well in CA. I bought one female from Jeff Searle years ago and planted her in my backyard jungle where she has grown but produces crops of infertile seeds because I could not find a male palm. Over a year ago I germinated seeds of this species in hope of growing both sexes. After I set aside the plants I intend to keep, I have four that need new homes. I am offering two options for buyers.

Seedlings are currently in 1g pots. They range between 12-14" tall and 14-15" tall and are going pinnate.

OPTION 1 - Two Lots of two palms each

Price per palm = $12.00 ($24.00 per Lot)

OPTION 2 - One Lot of four palms

Price per palm = $10.00 ($40.00 per Lot)

Shipping = $12.00 for both Options. Palms will be sent without soil and pots and roots wrapped in damp orchid moss, clear wrap and foil.

Payment via Paypal

No shipping overseas. No shipping to HI.

Please PM me if you are interested.

The area underneath my bodacious and productive royal palm is packed with seedlings that germinated 6 to 8 months ago. Fall starts tomorrow and they can't stay there over the winter. If I can't find them new homes, I'll send them to the compost pile. People on PT have told me how difficult royal palms are to find - I got more than I can handle. So, I am selling them for $0.25 (a quarter) each. And they won't be tiny spikes - they will range from approx. 10" to 20" tall with established roots and 1-3 strap leaves. If you want to establish a grove of royals, start a royal nursery or gift friends and family with them, now is your chance to buy them in bulk. See below:
Roystonea regia 10-20" tall seedlings: $0.25 each
Shipping: to be quoted based on number of seedlings and destination (min $10.00) via Priority Mail.  No shipping outside the US. No shipping to HI.
      TOTAL: To be Determined
      Payment via Paypal

Sale lasts until seedlings are all sold or I send them to compost

I have many more seedlings coming up in our yard - this time it's Ptychosperma sp Robusta. If I can't find them new homes, they end up on the compost pile. I was sold the mother of these seedlings under the name "Ptychosperma robusta". But I can find no information about this palm or whether its name is valid and no one who has seen it or its photos can tell me what it is. I can confirm that this palm is as advertised: robust, sturdy and very fast growing. Its ripe seeds are red. It clusters but not heavily and I remove the offsets as they come on. It is one of the tallest palms in my jungle, rivaled only by the Veitchias. It has no issues with my climate and takes full FL sun. This is one tough Ptycho - whatever it is.
Ptychosperma sp Robusta newly germinated seedlings: $0.10 each (minimum purchase = $5.00)
Shipping = $10.00 via Priority Mail for up to 300 seedlings.        No shipping overseas. No shipping to HI
      TOTAL = TBD

I have 3 Serenoa repens Silver (NOT Super) seedlings to sell as a lot. They are the only offspring from the beautiful Serenoa Silver palm on the berm overlooking our canal. Here in FL we have a real problem with people trespassing on private property to strip saw palmettos of their seeds for black market trade pharmaceuticals. Last summer my palm was loaded with fruit. By fall only a few were left. Seedlings for sale are about 6 months old. They germinate green and turn silver they grow.
Serenoa repens Silver seedlings: 3 @ $18.00 for the lot
Shipping = $10.00 via Priority Mail.      No shipping outside the US. No shipping to HI
      TOTAL DUE = $28.00

      Mother Palm

I have a 10" pot of 60+ seedlings of Ptychosperma robusta from my mother palm. About 10 years ago I bought a young clustering Ptychosperma at a sale. The seller called it "Ptychosperma robusta", which was not then and is not now a valid binomial, to my knowledge. He knew nothing else about it. When it was smaller I posted photos in hope someone on the forum would recognize it but got no response. Anyway it has grown quite large and so tall I can't easily photograph its crown. I remove its offsets to keep it at two stems that are 4-5" diameter each, quite chunky by Ptychosperma standards. It grows quickly, flowers and seeds easily and ripe fruit is vibrant red. The infructescences are so high up we can no longer reach them with ladders or pole saws. As a result seedlings pop up all around it in the jungle. The other day I dug up over 80 seedlings and rather than compost them, will find them a new home. I can say this unknown species is completely hardy here and took down to 38F last winter. I hope some enterprising palm lover can offer these seedlings a home. And I hope someone can give it a valid name if one exists. Seedlings will be sent via Priority Mail with roots wrapped in damp orchid moss, clear wrap and foil. Take  a leap into the unknown. See summary below
