Coconut palm brazilian dwarf green

 Hi, I wanted to know some information about a variety of coconut palm: the Brazilian green dwarf. In particular I would like to know after how many years fruit and what is the maximum height that reaches that height for the first time and therefore where to find it.

Hello I have wondered the same. 

I searched a bit for that variety but there seems to be a lot of information (sometimes conflicting) to give the right answer. From what I have gathered they are notorious for two things, to produce very sweet and tasty coconut water and they can have a very high production under certain circumstances (sometimes more than 200 nuts per tree per year). 

The problem is there might be more than one Brazilian Green Dwarf variety and between those there might be better selections in some zones. Some studies say the fruit weights like 2+ kilos and water is only as sweet as other dwarf coconuts, others say it is very sweet while the fruit is only 1 to 1.6 kilos. To make things harder picking the fruit at the right time is crucial for good sweetness and this goes for all coconuts (soil type etc can also play a factor). 

The tree is supposed to fruit very early 2 to 3 years after being planted, I suppose the fruits will be very close to the ground then. Supposedly you can distinguish them from Malayan Dwarfs as their top fronds are less droopy than Malayans. I have also heard these don't grow as tall as Malayans.

We would probably need some people from Brazil to help us here:)

Ho cercato un po 'quella varietà ma sembra che ci siano molte informazioni (a volte in conflitto) per dare la risposta giusta. Può anche giocare un fattore). 

L'albero dovrebbe fruttare molto presto 2 o 3 anni dopo essere stato piantato, suppongo che i frutti saranno molto vicini a terra. Presumibilmente puoi distinguerli dalle nane malesi perché le loro fronde più alte sono meno cadenti dei malesi. Ho anche sentito che questi non crescono alti come i malesi.

Probabilmente avremmo bisogno di alcune persone dal Brasile per aiutarci qui

I have seen on the Internet that grows to a maximum of 4.6 meters (similar to the dwarf red Cameroon). So could it fructify even at 1 mt / 1.50 meters according to you?

Just saw this Brazilian video, he shows several young green dwarfs. The first one is around 2.5 to 3 years he says. On the comments he also mentions it can grow up to 7 meters, I never know if this is just the trunk or with the fronds + trunk. 

Regarding the 4.6 meters Cameron Red Dwarf, is this the trunk or trunk + fronds?

For the ones not familiar with Portuguese (but understand some Spanish), here is a good video in Mexico. They basically talk about the excellent production and precocity of this coco, they also emphasize the water is high quality and it seems in this zone, Guerrero in Mexico,  it is resisting lethal yellowing.  With that said I don't understand why Florida doesn't have these yet:)
