In August of last year, I gathered some seeds from Balboa Park. Out of those seeds, this one is growing the fastest. I didnt label them in any way so I dont know any of the species I have.

Does this tan, smooth seed and first couple blades look familiar to anyone?

I might have to wait to find out the ID and Im cool with that. Just thought I would throw it out there and see what you guys think.

Does the seed have one longitudinal groove ?  If so, it would be a Phoenix palm, a common genus in SD.
