I'm making a 2nd trip to So Cal in March, I've visited Jungle Music before but looking for some other great palm places. I will be visting Hunting Botanical Gardens with some cactus friends, hoping to see their palm collection there as well... Any other great spots to check out in LA Area/SD Area

The San Diego Botanical Gardens in Encinitas has some great palms, as well as lots of other nice plants.

Also check out Balboa Park, another great, free place to view some cool palms.

Depending upon how long you'll be in the area, you could also plan a day trip out to Anza Borrego to observe Washingtonia filifera in habitat.  The Living Desert Zoo / Gardens is out that way as well.  March should be a perfect time to explore the Desert.

A side note, for your cacti- loving friends,  lots (..and i mean ..lots) of great Cacti / Succulent nurseries to hit up around L.A. and San Diego also.
