Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Nice garden! Off to a very good start. How did your mom come to collect so many palms?

Thanks Kim. She has had a lot of the generic stuff for years and my new found obsession has brought many of the cool palms to light for her. I planted the Carpoxylon, A pupurea, Veitchias and Chambeyronia. I am only 25 y/o and am in a rental property, so I didn't want to waste any good palms on that yard...

Nice job Chris! I wish there were more yards like this in Clearwater.

Thanks! There should definitely be more of this in Clearwater, we seem to be behind the times.

Boy, talk about an understatement. And the last part? Well, that explains a lot.
