What is your current yard temperature?

79 F at 8:09 AM. Temperatures down here have moderated a bit. Highs in the mid to upper 80"s F. instead of 90's F. However, the lows remain in the mid to upper 70's F. Briefly saw some cirrus clouds that hinted at the possibility a cool front that has worked it's way into north and central Florida may push through our area to provide relief. Unfortunately, the Gulf Stream won out.

Saw Jackson Hole, WY. at 17 F. this morning. Lower to mid 50's F. throughout S.Ca. and Az. That would be sweet!

Reached 83F today. It was nice after having these low 70s temps.  Still dry and the humidity was pretty low at 34%.  Back in the 70s tomorrow with a 70% chance of rain.  The rain we received earlier in the week was minimal.  The drought has worsened and the governor has issued a statewide drought watch advisory.

Correction: forecast changed; 80F today and tomorrow. Then 70s beginning Tuesday. Rain chance has increased to 90% tonight.

A chilly night last night, down to 48F here.

Only a high of 65F forecast for today.

All the palms are still growing though, even the Cocos Nucifera. For now at least. :lol2:

The weather is fine overall. The winter is coming on. So no more hot around the environment.

So even in your 23-24 N latitude (by your info), you can feel the effects of winter? I eas under the impression that you (below 25 latitude) had only wet and dry season...

56F for a high and will see our first sub 45F possibly soon with a dip into the high 30s possible. Feels like winter in October....not a good sign for the actual winter....

It only reached 65F today... 60s again tomorrow with temps in the low 40s tonight and tomorrow night.  Then, it looks like temps will be upper 60s/ low 70s for the highs over the weekend with lows in the mid 50s.  Just brought the coconuts indoors.

Still in a drought, but we did have 1.5" of rain yesterday.  Might get more rain this weekend, depending on where this potential tropical cyclone goes.

Let's hope this is accurate.

Yeah I hope so! There is a frost advisory just west of Appalachia that dips into NE Georgia...

I spent the night in Heathrow, well north of Orlando and it was cool and overcast this morning in the mid 60s.  Drove home and it was 72F (being in the urban heat island).  It looks much more temperate just 20 miles north of here with lots of deciduous trees that look healthy and just starting to get a few that have colored up.  In town there are certainly deciduous trees, but many look ravaged by the recent dry conditions.  Also, whereas large zone 10a stuff is scarce up there, it is everywhere once you get to Altamonte and Maitland.  Most of those large Trachycarpus they planted at some of the overpasses along I4 recently have died.  There were many better choices for this area.

After living here for a combined 30 years, I have finally come to appreciate Florida and its climate with its subtle seasonal changes.  Here's hoping we do actually get some rain.

Spring is really kicking in now! It's very windy this morning too, it has been all week which is not much fun as it dries out the garden.

The lower high temperatures are welcome, but it is pretty surprising we still have lows in the 70s in late October.

It ended up being 80F today with a dew point of 74F.  Had a brief rain shower, but the good news is that we are no longer under a drought.  69F at 10:30pm.  Supposed to have highs in the 70s for the rest of the week, except we might reach 80F again on Halloween.

We got hammered with rain yesterday with a high of 78F. Currently its 64F at home and 56F at work.  Cooling down for the start of November sadly into the mid to high 50s after a few days in the 70s.

Chillier mornings on the horizon. But what we really need with the endless fires and forced power outages, IS RAIN!!!!

Yesterday topped out at 41F.  The coldest October day in 16 years.  Summer was a disappointment and we skipped fall and went straight to winter.  I have a hard time believing the predictions of a warmer than average winter.

Only reaching 14C here today and 15C tomorrow with thunderstorms and possible hail. Don’t you just love spring on the south coast. Just like winter with longer daylight hours. The Juanias will love it though.

We had the same thing this year but inverted.

This year we never had a spring. Winter turned into summer come late May.

Crazy cause on the opposite end of the US we broke our all time high today and set to break all time high temp on Halloween also.

The whole SW corner of Western Australia is getting cold blustery wet weather today.

pretty incredible temperature spread in the US right now - summer in FL and winter in TX

Current temps at the southern tip of TX (25-26*N) are looking similar to upstate NY

Coast of Tamaulipas just south of the Tropic of Cancer is mirroring NYC

Brunt of the front seems to be just north of Tampico (2am local time) which is still sitting at 80F

TX Panhandle colder than most of populated Canada

Just checked and saw that! We are 66f with a high of 77f today and our first frost might be moved back a day to the 3rd with a possibility of tomorrow night early Saturday. Stay warm out there and please send that back to Canada!

It's been a very nice day today. Currently 82F (heat index 86F) and it looks like it'll be in the 70s until the cold front passes through around midnight.  The forecast is for a low of 46F tonight.  Definitely going to be chilly for the next few days.  A frost is looking more likely Sunday night.  A nice way to end October, but not a great start to November.
