Unusual Hibiscus flower

Recommended Posts

I noticed this unusual Hibiscus flower on a plant at work. The rest of the flowers are all white except this bloom and one other right at the top of the plant which I couldn't get close to but appeared to be bi-coloured as well. I read somewhere that you could get different coloured flowers on the same plant if some were from the root stock and other the graft but neither of these would have come from the root stock. Just freaks I guess.

Neil, did it get any more pink flowers?

Gold Coast, Queensland Latitude 28S. Mild, Humid Subtropical climate. Rainfall - not consistent enough!

Neil....

I have been after this Hibiscus.  Known as Swan Lake

Russel Fransham nursery in NZ describes it...""Pure white form of "Fantasia", mutates repeatedly to pink with both colours on the bush."

cheers
