colocasia pink china in pots over winter

I currently have  three small pots of pink china colocasia on my deck and was wondering what to do with them over winter.  Zone 7a.  should i grow them as house plants over the winter? or let the frost kill the plants and store the roots in peat moss in my garage? or plant them in the ground  and cover the planting area with leaves?

They need dormant period (even in tropics). I would leave them in pots, and put them in some cool place until spring.

Just now saw this.  Pink china will overwinter fine in ground in 7a.  I suggest you get Aloha from Plant Delights as it's the bomb.   In fact I have many other Colocasia that do fine overwintering in ground.  Just put a little pile of mulch over them if you're scared of winter.  Also overwinter able in ground for you is Hardy hibiscus, Canna, Coffee Cups Colocasia (Favorite).
