Thanks Bill for posting some photos of your wonderful garden.  Hoping next time I’m in the acres I could stop by and visit.  I really enjoyed getting to see your garden last time I had a chance.

PS keep posting some more photos.

Is that Palm Karaoke? What song are you crooning?

I am overdue for a shopping visit. Such an extravagant garden. Always fun to see the bus.

Bill's Dypsis palms are just amazing. I have an interesting Big Island Dypsis experience, so maybe I can intrude on this thread momentarily with a comparable item. Here is one of my Dypasis mananjarensis, planted April 2013 in Big Island cloudy, humid full sun from a 2-gal bucket. 5-gal orange bucket for scale.

Notice what is at the base on the left side. Here is a closeup:

The palm doesn't even have a trunk yet! Another mananjarensis planted 15 feet away does have 6 inches of trunk (but no inflorescence).

No escaping the Home Depot Orange Crack Buckets!

Typical of Mike "orange bucket man" Merritt. BTW, the inflorescence is now an infructescence developing fruit.

Epic is a term I don't use often, but is the appropriate word to describe Bill's garden. So fortunate to be able to just drive up the hill and spend time amongst the palms and

having a good palm chat with Bill.

Jeremy,  no doubt you would would happily get lost in this unique palm jungle.

I would love to see the palm in it's full splendor if it's possible to get it in a shot.  Looks like it could be challenging with all the plantings around it though.  I was just looking at my little basilonga which is actually growing reasonably fast here or said another way not unreasonably slow, and thinking about what it might develop into someday.  Thank you for sharing this and all the other beautiful specimens in your garden.  They provide great inspiration!
