New and fresh seeds 2/17/20:

I am pleased to have the opportunity to offer Draceana draco ssp. Caboverdeana. This subspecies was only recently described and is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands. It is highly endangered, as it survives on cliffs and valleys on the side of an active volcano. The population is quite small, but these plants show a stouter, shorter form than its relatives from the Canary Islands and have much bluer leaflets. Pictures will be attached to this post and are used with permission from Simon Lavaud.

$2.50 each, 10/$22.

I also have a seedling special for Copernicia fallaensis. These are 2 leaf seedlings grown from habitat collected seed. $10 each, 10/$80.

The following are 25/$8, 100/$18, 1000/$55:

Coccothrinax argentata - back in stock

Coccothrinax barbadensis - back in stock

Cyrtostachys renda - back in stock

Rhapis excelsa

Sabal mauritiformis - back in stock

I just got these Mountain Coconuts to plant, but they seem a bit too green. Would they be able to germinate? I read it is pretty hard to germinate those anyway.  Should I remove the mesocarp (the green husk)?
I was planning on letting them dry for a few weeks, then a few weeks in the fridge, then soak them for a few days, then plant them halfway burried in topsoil/peat moss mix and leave them outside to experience daily temperature variation.
Does enyone have experience germinating Parajubaea Torallyi?

Does anyone know what these are? They were found washed up on the beach. There are 2 fruits and one with the fruit removed, revealing the seed. The fruit was sticky and almost web-like.

I'm a newbie here so please be forgiving.  I recently purchased a Cabbage Palm as an anniversary gift for my husband.  We live in the northern part of Middle Tennessee (zone 7A) so for now, we are keeping the 4-foot tall palm in a very large exterior-glazed terracotta pot.  I have a greenhouse where we will overwinter the tree.  We would like to eventually put it in the ground but I don't know if that's going to be possible here.  I haven't been able to find any information about potted cabbage palms.  If anyone has any advice whatsoever, please feel free to pass it along.

I collected some Sabal palmetto seeds from Virginia Beach off of an older palmetto there in July, I just now removed the dry fruits from some of the seeds, and they look kind of light. Could this just be because they were still in the fruit? They all sank in water. I am just used to the seeds being a bit darker.
