I recently visited the JC Raulston Arboretum.  My phone decided to stop working after the first visit, so I lost those photos.  I visited a second time just before closing and was able to capture a few photos with the replacement phone.

Thanks for sharing @SEVA. Last week I was just at Raulston. All the agaves and cactus were in bloom as I remember.

This plant isn't Strelitzia reginae, Bird of Paradise, it is a Canna.

They look so similar! I didn't even notice until now. It makes much more sense for those to be Cannas in the climate of Raleigh.
