Rhopalostylis baueri

Hello,

I am looking for a "Norfolk Island Palm" Rhopalostylis baueri. Does anyone have any suggestions? One of the Master Gardeners in my area suggested that I try the Mounts Plant Sale. I guess the next one is the Fall Sale in November.

I live in the Port Saint Lucie, Florida area.

Many Thanks

That's going to be a tough if not impossible grow in Florida! They do not survive long in prolonged heat.Might be able to get one shipped in from California, but probably not going to see them for sale in FL.

Thank you for the reply and the information.

I will sadly adjust my expectations but better to know beforehand.

I have grown these successful in Stuart Florida. However, they are not commonly sold at garden stores. Mounts would be the best option. You can check with them on any visit. No need to wait for the plant sale.

Thanks!

Maybe I will try one. I am heading down to the plant sale in November.
