Butia eriospartha X microspadix F1 female flowers pollinated with male Allagoptera arenaria pollen. First time, let’s see if it works.

Joseph in your garden there was no other butia in bloom?

Unfortunately not this year. The 30 year low temps defoliated almost every butia around and the odorata that were partially burned didn't bloom for some reason.

And you use some other cocoid to pollinated?

Butia Catarinensis that I just pollinated with Allagoptera.  My erio x microspadix has never flowered but next year will be the year for sure.

Better than I got.  I think there are only 9 seeds left maturing on the last Catarensis flower that I pollinated.

Down to 4 on this flower.... the other flower has 10 or so but a few of those look like they wont fully develope.
