Here's a current list of Zamia seedlings I have available.  Plants are available for local pick up, or shipped bare root in spaghnum. Shipping costs are not included in the prices listed. Also can not send these internationally. Here's what I have available:

Zamia meermanii $85 each (1 leaf seedlings, should be pushing 2nd flush very soon) One of the rarest and most attractive of all Zamia species. Very thick, coriaceous leaflets with beautiful orange emergent flushes. From Belize.

Zamia dressleri $45 each (1-2 leaf seedlings) Extremely rare, subterranean plicate species from Panama. Beautiful large plicate leaves, with amazing coppery flushes.

Zamia imperialis $20 each (1 leaf seedlings) Uncommon plicate leafed species from Panama. Giant leaflets and beautiful orange flushes.

Zamia tuerckheimii $15 each (1-2 leaf seedlings) Uncommon species from Guatemala. Really beautiful species, holding many leaves at a time.

Zamia nana $15 each (2-3 leaf seedlings) Rare and fairly recently described dwarf species from Panama.

Zamia tolimensis $35 each (2-3 leaf seedlings) Very rare species from Colombia. Absolutely massive arborescent plants, with both trunks and leaves that can be over 10 feet long.

Zamia nesophila $15 each (1-2 leaf seedlings) or $25 each (older 3-4 leaf seedlings)  Uncommon plicate leaf species from Panama. Probably the all around toughest of the plicate Panamanian species.

Zamia purpurea $20 each (2-3 leaf seedlings)  Rare dwarf Mexican species. One of my personal favorite Zamia species, flushes a beautiful color that lasts for months and is small enough to fit into any place in the garden.

Always open to trading as well. Anyway, PM with any orders or questions. Thanks!

Hi Dale,

I'm overdue for a visit up your way, will give you a call sometime this week and see if we can figure something out. Hope things have been well with you.

Wonder how Zamia tolimensis does in South Florida? What cultural requirements do they need?

Coral Gables, FL 8 miles North of Fairchild USDA Zone 10B

As far as I know there have only ever been two seed collections of this plant, the recent one these came from and another about 4 years or so ago. I know the plants that came out of the earlier collection are still around and have done fine in South Florida, and the seedlings I currently have are growing trouble free. They seem to be just as easy as any other tropical Zamia, definitely not fussy like some of the other Colombian stuff has a reputation for being. They’re supposed to grow to elevations of up to 6500 ft, so I assume they’ll at least be pretty cool tolerant, and hopefully cold tolerant as well. They’ve definitely proven to be tolerant of Florida’s hot summers.

Hello Rory, I know it's a twenty months old post but just in case to ask: Do you have any zamia seedlings left and grown by now (dressleri?). And of course, if you are willing to ship to Pennsylvania.

Thank you, Etan
