Heliconia Augusta Yellow Christmas

I just wanted to share some pictures of these.

I am a sucker for Heliconia. Its my favorite flower so when I saw Heliconia Fire and Ice at the closest powerline nursery I couldn't help myself.  However after being in the ground for just over it year it started to bloom and it turns out it's Augusta Yellow Christmas.  I like that even better.  Does really well for me surprisingly, even with all the dry air and wind we have had over the past year.  It is sheltered from Santa Ana's and receives mostly afternoon sun. This last cold spell we had appeared to only damage one leaf.  It started blooming in mid December. Most of the tattered leaves are from before I planted it and it suffered from not enough water and too much direct wind.
