Zeeth 2,286 Report post Posted January 19, 2018 Multiple potted specimens, about 9 inches tall, low of 31.5˚, no frost: The ones in with full sun after about 8 am (so no sun during the morning frost) have minimal leaf damage but spear browning and turning soft, but still actively growing (suggesting that it's alive). The ones in all day shade have about 80% browning of the leaves with spear browning as well. A P. pacifica seedling in the location with full sun after 8 am shows extensive leaf damage, so I'd say that P. thurstonii seems a bit hardier.
