OldNed 7 Report post Posted June 8, 2007 That last one with the torn-up skin is a Giant Day Gecko........ From a handbook on the care of Day Geckos: "Giant day geckos are difficult lizards to handle safely – safely for them! These lizards do not like to be restrained. They will writhe in your grasp, often tearing their skin badly, and will become moderately stressed if restrained. The skin of all day geckos tears very easily." Did not know about the skin thing when I grabbed it....after that, I just looked at geckos...didn't touch them. The skin does regenerate quickly.
