I threw some live oak seeds in a pot and at first they sprouted and looked like live oak seedlings, but now I'm not to sure if they are live oak. Take a look.

Live oak leaves can be quite variable, anywhere from sharp toothed to smooth margins. All the above photos look like live oak to me.

Corpus Christi, TX, near salt water, zone 9b/10a! Except when it isn't and everything gets nuked.

The second one looks more like a red oak. These are Live oak leaves.

Thank you all for your reply's, I was worried that they were Hollys or something, but now I see their pointy leaves are normal, at a young age?

The pics i posted are the southern live oak seelings found in texas.  They soon grow out of the juvenile stage and produce leaves as pictured.
