My neighbor, and good friend, Bob Hastings has passed away today from old age. He will be missed. Here's a thread I did from when I first met Bob and toured his garden, before I even knew that someday I'd be living right next door. Rest in peace Bob. I hope all your cosmic ponderings have now been answered. http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/2131-i-found-my-thrill/#comment-35170

I am happy that I got to meet Bob!  I really enjoyed the tour he gave us of his wonderful garden.  I am saddened by his passing on to the garden in the sky!

Sad news to hear about Bob. A very nice jovial Guy from the time or two I met him. A loss to all.

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!

Sorry to hear about your neighbor, Matt. I remember those pix of his garden very well.
