Germination of Livistonia Rotundifolia

Hi,

Anyone could advise me on growing Livistonia Rotundifolia from seed?  I'd like to start with a new batch, but have no idea on requirements of this species.
Is it hard to grow it ? What about the germination time?

Its binomial is now Saribus rotundifolia. If the seeds are fresh and viable you should have no trouble germinating  them. If you use a pot make it a deep one, at least 10-15cm. Use a well draining potting mix. Keep seeds moist but not soggy. Keep pot in a very warm place and be patient. Seeds may take months to germinate. This is not a cold hardy palm and needs protection from freezes.

I am also trying to germinate Saribus rotundifolia seed for the second time - no luck on the first attempt.  Unfortunately I think that the fruits I collected in Miami back in Feb. were a few months old, but they sank in water so I am hopeful!  So far it's been 3 months.  I'd really like to grow this one also!
