Bubbles in the water

How come  by soaking seeds in (tap) water some times are produced bubbles and some not? Does it have to do with the quality of seeds or with remnants of a previous disinfection attempt by one of the owning predecessors or what?

Here's an example

Here's an example of no bubbles

I always have bubbles from my tap water (I think is chlorine bussiness) but afer some hours or a day all that bubbles disappear. Were both glasses filled at the same time?

Those L. nitida seeds aren't they?  They came from RPS, I dunno if Mr. Spanner apply some sort of desinfectant or not processing the seeds.

Indeed, they are the nitida seeds, but I had same experience with some Sabal seeds (only a small portion) I had obtained from the USA. The latter case was, as a matter of fact, even motre peculiar, because bubbles were seeming adhered also to each seed and lasted for many days, while the bubbles regarding the nitida seeds have disappeared after half a day.

LoL

My tap water is more like soda, well, not so fancy and tasty. It's a shame because we used to have good water when it came direct from the mountains but now it come from the reservoir and it's pure chlorine. Yuk!
