New member from Reunion island.

Hi ! 

My registration finally got accepted yesterday (after two weeks of waiting...), so i'm really excited to take part to this forum. 

I'm a 23 years old ecology/botanics student from Reunion Island, which is a french Island located just south of Mauritius and east of Madagascar. It's a tropical volcanic island sometimes called "the Hawaii of France" because of the climate and volcanism similarities. 

The climate is type "Af" on the east coast, "Am" and "As" on the notrh coast, all variations to "BSh" on the west and south coast. It's an "Cfb" climate on top of the mountains, with snow sometimes...

I live in the "BSh" part of the island, which is great for the sunshine, but i have to water my garden regularly to avoid my plants from dying.

Thanks for the photos, they are beautiful, and welcome to PT! Feel free to post some palmy pics to the palm forum where more people will see them. We don't have enough pics of Reunion, looks like a paradise over there.

It absolutely is ! It's like being in France with all the cultural, gastronomic, architectural and geographical melting-pot it implies, but with a tropical climate ;).
