White Spots

I've just recently noticed small white spots on a few of my smaller palms (Calyptrocalyx hollrungi and Luxococcus rupicola). I think they are some kind of insect egg. Can anyone identify these and advise of a treatment?

Looks like mealybugs. Spray with insecticidal soap. Also spread used coffee grounds on surface of potting mix. If those don't work get insecticide with imadacloprid (by Bayer) and use as a spray and soil drench.

Agree. You can use alcohol on a cotton bud if a small infestation.  As you have thrips/mites on that other plant you may as well just spray this with the same and use any spare to drench the soil around this palm.  Welcome to Palmtalk

Thanks all for the replies. I have some concerns with using a commercial pesticide. I've used the Spectracide Triazicide spray on my coconut and bottle palms for white fly. It worked, but I am hesitant to use it on the smaller potted palms. I may go the Neem oil route and see how that works.
