Ganoderma hell

Hello I am new on this Palm site. I have a recently planted Foxtail that has shown some signs of possible frizzle top so I have fertilized it with Magnesium  and a overall Palm fertilizer.  It has  browning fronds ( almost a rust color ) they start as green then the outward tips turn brown then the whole frond turns brown/ rust colored.  It has a new frond emerging that is green but all the most recent fronds started as green then quickly  turned  brown . This tree is about 10 ft tall it has very small white fungi like growths clustered on a few areas of the trunk all on same side of the trunk these are not near the roots. I am wondering if it is this dreaded Ganoderma ?? I have some photos on my cell phone . If anyone can help me identify this issue please it would be very appreciated as I have other Foxtails near it that look very healthy.  If it is this Ganoderma I will need to remove it but really  hoping it is something else that is treatable.  Thank you !
