This palm isn't mine. A venezuelan friend have had it for a couple of years I know that this is a clumping and dwarf; however it's similar to L. Rotundifolia.

Dear Joseph,

Amoung your pictures the 1st one just blew me way, since in india and in asia we have a similar plant called devil's tounge,

but seeing the size of the plant in your photo,it looks like a plant belonging to the by gone 'Jurassic period'. We Are all Impresed with that. and the other photos i need not comment, since all of us love palms irrespective of their sp & age.

Dear members kindly also show us plants that are strange, rare or wierd in their looks which do not come under the palms catagory. do this just once in a while. Iam sure that members here do have very peculiar collection of plants in their gardens !

Thanks

One family one tree..

love conquers all..

Jeff, I believe it's Anthurium scherzerianum.

And I should add, this will grow outside in SoCal.

Maybe I'm crazy, but it looks like a L. chinensis...

JD

I'm pretty sure it isn't a chinensis, since it lacks the droopy leaf tips.  But it sure looks like a Livistona, from teh armed petioles and the general leaf shape.

Hmm.  Do a search and see . . . .
