my giant coconut has finally germinated.  I found this out 2 days ago when i was taking it out of the pot due to the rapidly changing Connecticut weather, and lo and behold a 4 inch long root was coming out the bottom.  I quickly put it back into the pot without damiging the root.  keep in mind this coconut is twice the size of the average viable coconut so I wasn't expecting it to sprout, but it did.  how long should it take for the leaf buds to come out?  any other advice?  thanks
