I just saw some queens in pots in a gardencentre. When I get there again I will make a few pictures. They must have reached a total height of 4 or 5 metres. Still they look kind of crappy to me.

A well grown queen with a full crown is the only time it kinda looks good to me...but those are never in a pot or container.

Mine did well in pots and looked great. Problem is how fast they outgrew them!

While boring to palm growing areas they are great for us in colder states because they are so tough and fast growing. I have 3 in 20 gallon tubs. In the winter they stay in the garage and since 1 of them...the tallest at 9/10 feet won't sit flat on floor of garage I will have to keep it angled when I bring it in.

Palmsnorth member Cocoanut mike in Montreal had one in the ground that he would overwinter until it got to the 16/18 ft tall size and he couldn't protect it anymore so was giving it away for free if you came and dug it out. This was last fall and don't know if that ever happened and he had to let the tree die. He had some great pictures of it after snows in his yard.
