How I Start My Palm Trees in the Ground

I haven't used my Compost Tea Brewer in a while because I have not been doing mass plantings in recent years.   Well, I pulled out.   Let's make some tea.   First, you have to get the chlorine out of the water. you fill it up and then you can either just let it set for a few days, or just aerate/blend for one. The first uses less energy unless you are in a hurry. Next step in the next reply.

Now you are going to bring that sock to the healthiest place in your garden, scoop away the mulch and grab some of that super healthy compost just under. It will have all of the good bugs perfectly suited to your location and growing conditions.

Now that we have out good bugs, and the sock is back in place, We have to feed them. Molasses with no additives is usually the product of choice for this, but I had some Maple Syrup I found when I cleaned out Mom's place. It has the natural sugars and no additives, so it'll do. I poured it in.

Now, most folks might stop right there, but you know I got a little high-tech science stuff in me, so I pulled out the garden bug super weapon. They'll blend right in the the normal stuff and create a super inoculant.

OK, we are all done. Now this is not some magic cure-all. But is superb for new or recently planted areas to get things in balance more rapidly than nature would. All in all it is not expensive. I can make 25 gallons, even with the high tech stuff added for about 6 bucks. And 25 gallons can treat a lot of plants.

So there you go. We are running. 24 hours is about optimal brewing time. I got plants to put in the ground this weekend.
