This true? I cant believe that they said that this is the real first storm of the season? Probably the last. I assume that ya folks down there are happy? Perhaps some green grass on the hills? So is this the first big rain?

Its true Zach  :P

It was the wettest day of the rain season for much of SoCal.  Less than an inch but greatly appreciated.  Of-course it finally rains at the start of the long dry season  ???

Puts me above 5 inches & above 3" downtown since March 2006  :(

We were at 1/2 " at 6:30pm, and then another band of showers hit. It's all over now, but my guess is we got 5/8" total. Definitely most rain in one day of the season.

Wow thats horrible, atleast you saw a decent soaking 1 day, but I know you will need atleast 5-6 of those to really put a good dent in. Tonight I have seen over an inch of rain and its still comming down hard.

Again, today, while I was enjoying the sunshine at Jungle Music in Encinitas, my palms were being watered by the rain starting around 2PM I was told. At 8PM this evening it was still drizzling. Current temp in Granada Hills is 49.6F.
