Cool season rain has finally arrived. Today has been very blustery with heavy sideways rain. I thought I'd share this satellite photo of the responsible for the horrible weather.

Trees blew down across South Australia and the low lying coastal areas got flooded

I happened to look at a swell map showing much of the the south coast of Australia getting whacked, with New Zealand to follow.  That storm whorl could pass for a nor'easter storm in eastern North America, including the entrained dry air.
