Free Sabal seeds - US only

Hilo Jason

Recommended Posts

I picked a ton of seed from my Sabal a couple weeks ago but haven't had the time to try to germinate them. So if anyone wants some send me a PM with your address and I'll send you some. US only please since shipping overseas is a lot these days.

I don't know what species this is as it wasn't labeled when I bought it. Maybe it's just Palmetto?  Either way, it's free. I just cleaned 50 and they all sank so they should be good.

Also, I don't have time to clean them before I ship, so you'll have to do that but they clean pretty easy.

my dog Rocky is 80 pounds so he gives some scale.

Mine just arrived as well, some germinating already and I like the sound of that mystery palm name Fallbrooksonii. That will be the name on the tag ;)

Thank you Jason for the seeds. It's not palmetto because the inflorescence doesn't extend past the fronds and it's not riverside because the seeds are too small. I'm not sure what it is, I'm thinking its a domingensis.

Los Angeles, CA and Myrtle Beach, SC.

Hi Brad, you're very welcome and thanks for your input on what species you think it might be.  I appreciate that.
