Potted Palms and Cold Weather

Recommended Posts

I've heard that palms in pots are more sensitive to cold because their roots are more exposed than palms in the ground. I'm pretty sure we are going to be freeze free until November or December but we're still getting lows around 40-45F.

Will it most likely be okay to leave small, potted Wodyetia Bifurcata, Phoenix Roebelinii, Dypsis Decaryi, and Roystonea Regia outside overnight in these temps?
