A Parakeet in a palmtree

I saw in 2008 a Parakeet nestling in a palm along the beach in Empuriabrava - Spain, Catalunia

This is an argentinian parrot. It is an invasive bird.

This parrots loves the Phoenix dactylifera. Always build his houses(nest) in this palms and eat the dates.

The worst is this is a very noisy parrot! But i love to see this parrots flying arround the palms. When i see this i feel i am in a jungle.

Pretty rare to see a parrot building a nest as well.

Yes, this is Phoenix canariensis.

It was a common palm in Spain before the red weevil kill every canarian palms.

Here this parrots build a very big nests, always in Phoenix Dactyliferas or canariensis.

They build community nest and always you can see 15-20 parrots in the same nest.
