So are you saying that you received them in this condition? If so, it seems like there hasn't been much decline since receipt. How have you cared for them and what's the plan for them this spring. You may be over worrying this situation. The damage may be as simple as them under watering or pulling it out of a greenhouse and exposing it to direct light without acclimation. I don't see anything to fret over. Now if the central spear starts to whither, you may need a little TLC, but we can walk you through that.

Seems to me the first looks "normal" for after winter, but the second shows signs of what i think is damage longer ago thats now finally growing out. Damage likely from previous winters. This must have been there too when you bought it.

It will live. Expect next spear to be complete. Dont panic, or rush things now - Id 'start applying fertilizers only late march earliest.

Pic of complete palm may help a little too (im wondering whether its in pot or full ground)

It would be unrealistic for palm leaves to be absolutely perfect. They are usually large and in temperate climates replaced more slowly so damage is noticed for a longer time or damage occurs multiple times to the same leaves.
