I have post this in another forum...

I am considering to convert my pool into a small garden with the best soil quality I could get...I am thinking we could say that will be a huge pot as well...12mX5m and dept from 1m to 1.9 m...

any comments, suggestion would be appreciated :)

Mohsen,

It would seem you have plenty of room to plant at the left side, do you really want to lose the pool, in summer you would miss it I am sure?

You may want to or not grow something around the pool fencing to soften it.

katalinaI have already planted few palms at left side,,,the issue is we need to build a granny flat on the left side ...so I am afraid I have to remove all of them :(

I have decided to keep the pool and I am trying to find places for them...I might ended up to plant everything very close to each other and let nature take its course...

but I am not sure I can find any place for the Jubaea... :(

Ah, a granny flat, I understand and I have more pics now so I see the plantings.

Oh my goodness me, you must keep the  Jubaea; always there is space for another palm especially that one.

I once had this mad idea even in my very small garden to have a specimen flowering tree and on four corners palms.,Maybe your Jubcea in the center.

Who owns the hedge? Maybe you could remove that and plant palms instead unless its shared of course.
