So with our last few weeks running in the 60's my Archontophoenix cunninghamiana has started to push out the latest spear about 1/4" in the last week. I'm curious when most people start to water and fertilize again?

Also, it seems the tip of one of the spears suffered some frost damage from our early season cold snap, I'm wondering will this harm the whole frond, or will it only effect the very end where it's turned brown?

I have stuff pushing here too - my big D. ambositrae, for instance, is opening a new frond.  Looks like we have a cool week in store, but then high-60s from next weekend.

I'll probably start fertilizing in a couple weeks - getting stakes in the ground - to take advantage of spring rain.  I've been putting a bunch of manure down over the winter, too - at least in front where the dogs can't get to it.

Sounds like a productive winter. Yeah, saw the temp for the next 3 nights: lows around 37-38f then looks like we can start looking forward to more consistent temps. I'll hold off on the fert for a few more weeks too then.

I'm going to fertilize when the daily highs hit at least 65F, which is this Saturday. After that it looks like highs never drop below mid 60s for 2-3 weeks out, with a lot of 70s mixed in
