Hello,

I hope everybody is doing well,

i just want to share with you some pictures i took, in a Wondefull place located 20 min far from my house, called La Calanque D'en Vau.

This place is a protected natural park, there's no road to bring you there , you have to walk and enjoy those beautiful views and landscapes all around you.

We are in november but the weather is still warm and people swim on the sea, like in summer , hope all winter gonna be like that. :)

i hope you guys will like it.

Beautiful!. Samir!

I have been meaning to visit les Calanques, but couldn't the last time I was in that region.

By the way, for some mysterious reason, the region around Nice is warmer in winter than the region around Marseille (including the Calanques), even though Nice is slightly farther north.  I don't know why, but I have often noticed a difference sometimes as much as 6 degrees Celcius between the two regions. You will see a lot of washingtonia robusta and phoenix canariensis around coastal areas of Marseille/Provence (and presumably near the Calanques), but there seems to be a bit more variety in the Côte d'Azur, perhaps because it is slightly warmer in winter.

Hellooooo :)

Thank you so much, yes you missed something!! next time don't forget to visit the Calanques :)

About the Climate:

From Nice to Menton until the Italian border, the Temperatures in the morning are warmer than here because of the topography of this place. Generaly i think 3°c more than the other parts of the coast.

The Alpes and high cliffs behind those cities blocks the warm air from the mediterranean sea and also stop the cold air coming from the north. and it creates a warmer micro-climate.

In this part of France there're a lots of micro-climates. Generaly between my home and the sea front i have 4°c down in the morning in winter.but i have 4°c up the Afternoon in summer.

Cassis and La Ciotat and the Calanques have warmer temperatures in the morning in winter  instead of Marseille because those city are also protected buy cliffs and high hills, and Marseille is more open, flat, and reach by the wind.

For example is French Palm lover lives very close to Marseille, but because he is located in a little town front of the sea and protected by hills, he can grows a lot of palmtrees .: http://fousdepalmiers.fr/html/forum/viewtopic.php?f=246&t=14961&start=570

I hope my english is not too bad and permit you guys to understand.

Take care.
