How Bout a 'Color' thread?

Tracy, be thankful your D. prestoniana is a slow steady grower. you get to enjoy the the color and overall habit for many years. Mine have grown   to the point that you enjoy their look from a distance.

Now, on the other hand, I have an Orange Crush growing on solid rock that has remained small because of the slow growth. It’s just beautiful. It’s found enough fractures in the rock to become essentially a miniature.

That is a beautiful palm Tim!  My other D prestoniana is even slower.  My wife wants it to speed up because it's fronds currently block a walkway in our small space, but I reminded her of exactly what you said, as well as the fact that its easier to deal with when the fronds come off at this height.  No complaints from me about their speed here.

Areca macrocalyx, an ‘inbetweener’. A nice blush that will darken over time.

Areca ipot seeds. Green to yelllow then orange.

Some garden color. Makes dreary days not so grey.

Crownshaft, palm fruit, Anthuriums blooming, leaf textures, variegation... a little bit of everything you have captured here!  Beautiful, it brightened things here too on a dreary autumn grey day.

Muh-hallow Cindy and Tracy. I’ve been known for really packing it in and this part of the garden is no exception!

Absolutely gorgeous! Love the selection and variety. If I could only make that happen in Ft Myers, working on it.

Tim,

I'd hate to accuse anyone of plagiarism, but I believe this photo was lifted directly from Sunset Magazine's new coffee table book, The 50 Most Beautiful Gardens of the World.
