Hi All, It has been a while since I updated this thread. I have planted a ton of new palms but have not had the chance to share some pictures with everyone. I'll go back and post more pictures sometime very soon.

Today I was lucky to dig and bring back a couple of nice Dypsis gems for the "Fair View" garden. It took 3 of us all day just to dig these 2 palms. I'm beat and ready for a nice cold one :)

first up is a MONSTER Dypsis Albofarinosa / baronii type Sp. thingy?? I'm not sure what it is??

second up is a stunning double Dypsis Ambositrae.  It originally started out a single trunk but split some time ago. This guy is super colorful and I'' pumped to call it my own :)

Both trunks are one leaf base away from its first ring of trunk.. :) I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I'm back at it again with some heaver hitter palms that got planted in the garden this past few days. I just dug and transplanted a very large chambeyronia houailou to the "Fair view" garden.

Not only was this a challenging dig but,  I did not get the root ball size I intentionally hoped for. I hope it does well?

enjoy the pictures below

IMG_8692.JPG.3e41aef59bd9485f85b55653d64extracted from hole and it was a bit wobbly :(

Traditionally they are wobbly palms until quite large... I just did a dig up of a potted one I had that had rooted in... EXCEPT (I wish I took a pic).. the base of the palm was 4-6" ABOVE the soil level!! The pot  area had rooted in well. Dug it up and transplanted to a bigger tub. No growth, but doesn't look any worse either.. I hope ours BOTH do well!

pic in new tub It was dusk as rains were on the way, I figured a decent time to dig..

also just dug up a pretty fat Becarriophoenix Alfredii from BD's garden. This sucker was extremly heavy for the size of the palm. about 10' tall

3 of us could bearly lift it out of the hole.
I hope it makes it??

enjoy the pictures :)
