Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Just spectacular.......and with the rain. The elevated walkways and topography must be such an experience traveling through this garden. Thanks for the photos.

I was able to visit this amazing garden many moons ago.At that time there were no railings on any of the elevated walkways.I was not able to make myself to go up there.

El Oasis - beach garden, distinct wet/dry season ,year round 20-38c

Las Heliconias - jungle garden ,800m elevation,150+ inches rainfall, year round 15-28c

Let's hope for an El Nino year so California gets some water. I shudder at the thought of watering a yard like that in California.
