A new addition to my already growing stock of hardwares.. :P

a tub of a little bigger size was bought to air dry the wet coir medium !since its helpful to also mix chemicals or fungicides at the time of putting the medium in the baggie bag !

Dear friends  :)

kindly bear with those blurred images, though i want to give the best illustrations, but the canon 3IS is really a pain..i have to fix my macro lens attach each time i shoot a close-up ! which seems to be totally not practical.. :(

Okay after the socking,On the 3rd day morning the seeds were left to air dry in room temperature for about 30 to 34 minutes..

And gentlemen here are the visuals..

the above seeds were put in baggie bags, the medium was prepared well in advance..here i have even improvised with this slightly moist coir dust.this is the first time i have used plant grouth increasing chemical in the germination medium..

i do not know what will the effect be.but some one should test the waters to tell others how deep is 'Really Deep !'

this is done purely on experimental basis..it can be very adverse too,but i used only 3 small drops of that chemical called 'Miraculan' for the entire medium that was put in 2 baggie bags..so you imagine how mild the effect would be..

Rest of the seeds will be tried in the usual method..and iam going a bit slow on this...since summer has not yet arrived !

love,

Kris  :)

Dear Eddie Chambliss  :)

that is the result of a seedling living too long in a baggie bag ! those are Phoenix Rupicola, once the leaves fronds open up they will exhibit normal characteristic..but for that i have place it in a bigger sized pot or container..! some of my Cidp's have also exhibited this quality.

love,

Kris  :)

Yes, the seeds are:

Archontophoenix myolensis

Brahea armata

Ceroxylon alpinum

Copernicia fallaensis

Deckenia nobilis

Dypsis schatzii

Gastrococos crispa

Heterospathe elata

Iguanura wallichiana var. major

Kentiopsis magnifica

Parajubaea sunkha

Ptychosperma schefferi

Syagrus orinocensis

They will today go into the baggies, and of course I'll keep you informed about their progress. They'll be germinated with temperatures between 22 and 35 degreeds Celcius with day-night fluctuation.

Dear David(Alice2000Hunter)  :)

this is the shower can that i use for watering my plastic bottles & young sprouted palms ! and once i see the water rising above the soil level i immeidetly stop watering that pot or container...

by this i realised that the palms servive better even with out the use of harsh fungicides..etc.

Love,

Kris  :)
