Join fellow palm enthusiasts for an east coast tour of two private gardens in New Smyrna Beach.

It’s not often that we got this far north for a tour, so be sure to join us on March 21st!

Agenda

10:00am – 11:30am – Tour of Dave Hall’s palm collection

12:00pm – Lunch at Frank Radosta’s

(Hamburgers and hot dogs provided by Frank, bring covered dish and a chair)

12:30 – 1:30pm Tour of Frank Radosta’s palm collection

1:30pm – 3:00pm Plant auction and sale

From I-4E, take it to the end at 95 then go south and pick up the rest of the instructions.

Directions from I-95 N or S. (its south of Daytona Beach)

1. Take exit #249/SR-44/Deland/New Smyrna onto Canal St (SR-44 E) toward New Smyrna Bch. 4.2 miles

2. Turn left onto Live Oak St (347 FT) (it's at a red light at the base of the Causeway Bridge)

3. Turn right onto Douglas St (0.2 mi)

4. Turn left onto S Riverside Dr. (0.3 mi)

5. Turn right onto Washington St (82 FT) takes you over a small bridge.

6. Continue on North Causeway (.05 mi)

7. Turn right at first light then left turn immediately following. Destination is on the right. You will see a rolling gate there.

1. Go back to red light at N Causeway, go left.

2. At second light turn right onto N Dixie Frwy. (US-1 N) 3.6 mi

4. Turn left onto Art Center Ave. (this is just north of a 7-11 store)

5. Turn left onto Sunset Dr. Go to 2858 Sunset Dr.

I'm bringing up a Livistona nitida for the auction, and can bring (non palm) an Aechmea blanchetiana bromeliad pup or two. The big orange beach plants go well with palms. They're so prolific, you adopt them out to good homes.
