That garden is phenomenal! Thanks for sharing those pictures. Waggies are a favorite of mine.

Peter the garden is looking awesome, really like the frost on the lawn really enhances all the green palms. Never knew you had so many waggies. Good Job.

A lot of people think that those of us who live in Hawaii, and other tropical places, don't appreciate "non-tropical" gardens and hardy palms.

Not so - seeing such a landscape in such an untraditional location is truly inspiring. And we understand how much time, work, and dedication went into creating it. Great Job. You must get quite the reaction from the locals.

Cold, but looking good as I told earlier on the EPS forum. We can't really complain about this winter till now, it is colder then the last one but not too cold at all. Here in the Southwest including the last cold spell only 4 light frosts recorded so far.

Looks like some more cold will hit us by the weekend, however again only light frosts in the forecast for here.

Very inspiring.. They look great and for being so exposed. Really awesome specimens!

I started some waggie seeds but they haven't sprouted just yet.and the stiffer fronds will hold up better with the wind in my area.

The yard is nicely done! Cool!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I spend about 8 hours every winter on covering and wrapping my palms and it really pays off, especially on the Chammy's. They would look miserable as a result of the wet cold we have in Holland.

Peter, kudos, what a nice garden. Given your location, just adds another dimension to your hard work.

May have to make a screen saver out of one of those pics. What do people say when visiting your yard? Bet your yard gets quite a bit of attention in the land of Tulips!

Thanks Troy, Tim, Bryant and Dan. Lowest low so far this winter still -5 C (23 F), not bad. My daughter took these pics of snowy Waggy's on 5 Feb, when I was at work. I hoped for snow in a weekend, we had some but it started melting right away. So I was very pleased with her pics.

Tulips are not native here by the way. They are from mostely from Southern Russia and Central Asia.

Good coldhardy palms like Trachycarpus fortunei give such an extra demension to a wintergarden! For this alone they should be used much more here!
