Here’s a photo of mine. Totally not edited. Its normal for the black to extend onto the fence.

Seriously though,  what difference is there between the RPS 'black petiole' and the Bill Austin 'black stem'?   I have both, and they look identical as seedlings.

On a recent visit to SoCal I heard a comment that the 'black stem' had been sold by Rancho Soledad, these plants grown on Big Island, and thus not well suited for SoCal conditions ??

 Perhaps we shoud have a new thread?  I promise to put up photographs of my seedling plants! LOL !!  :mrlooney:
