Who has the cheapest gas prices?

Oil is trading at $59.19 a barrel as this is being posted and may drop further. World demand is projected to be down for 2015 and OPEC keeps pumping. They won't drop production numbers as they don't trust that some of their members will cheat.

As for Mr. Putin, he screwed himself and the Russian people with his actions this year. Isolating his economy that is heavily dependent on oil, lets see how much his people will love him now.

Now at $59.16 a barrel

Now down to $58.43, that is $1.52 less then yesterday's close. The Russian economy is in trouble.

Don't get too used to it. This is short lived at best. By July 2015 or sooner, it'll be over $100 a barrel again. Enjoy while it lasts.

Ray, Im not finding many experts seeing the price rising that high.

Fracking is here to stay, if the prices drop below $60 for too long, then some operations will go idle ( regular drilling as well), but once the price goes up again.... so will the fracking and regular drilling. I believe that will be the way it will be.

Opec knows that if they with hold output then fracking will pick up the slack.

Things will get even worse when the third world nations get into the fracking production.

Your mileage my vary.

As for the climate.... It's changed many times over the last thousands of years, ice age etc...

I checked the stats for Modesto, there has been no change in temps since people started recording the weather here in 1880, which was before most all oil production .

My thought , is stay on course with alternate energy sources, but a lower oil price helps consumers and gives the kooks less money to build huge sand islands and sky scrapers in the deserts .

Saw $2.53 a gallon for gas this morning, $3.09 a gallon for diesel at the same place.

The question is, how low can it go?

Saudi Arabia can take a drop to $30 for quite awhile.

I've read that at $45 most Fracking would be not profitable .

The trend is going MUCH lower. The USA has dropped its production of gasoline by an amazing 75% in the last 11 years.
