"Defruiting" Trachy seeds

JT in Japan

Recommended Posts

I found a fruiting Trachy F. on my walk today and picked a few seeds. I don't know if they're ripe or not, but half had already fallen off, so I picked what remained. Being that they're so small, I'd like to know if I have to remove the fruit or not before I start trying to germinate them. I'm sure someone else has done this before (Garry?), so if there are any tips or techniques, please share.

Thanks.

JT

The seeds look immature. Put them into a community pot "as-is" and see how many come up. I think you'll damage the seed if you try and remove the flesh too early.
