I hope they are right with the California rainfall prediction.

The Polar Vortex to strike again!!! The Washington Post Capital Weather Gang published this Accuweather forecast for this coming winter (article emphasis on the Mid-Atlantic but includes rest of US

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/capital-weather-gang/wp/2014/10/15/polar-vortex-will-likely-make-a-return-this-winter-says-accuweather/

FL appears due for a "rainy" dry season. But the Gulf is warmer than normal. If that carries into winter perhaps it will moderate Arctic fronts created by the Vortex.

Wow. I find it difficult to believe a prediction for a warmer than normal winter up far north, and a below average winter for Florida. If the cold comes from Canada.....??? They are "predicting" a wetter winter with perhaps some extended cloud cover, but that doesn't always mean colder. The clouds also hold night temperatures up. The GOM is still currently 82F off my coast, warm for October despite one cold front. So, what is the outlook? Hmmm

Begonias are my thing. I've been growing and selling them for three decades, nearly two in Tampa Bay. NPR is an bhour N of St Pete, coast

So they have us at 125% precipitation of last year. So we got 3" last year which means we'll get 3.75" this year. Yay! :badday:
