It is definitely impossible for me to pass by on I-5 without turning my head to the right each time I head to the airport from my place in Leucadia.

Thanks Paul! VERY impressive! I don't recall seeing those palms (and I ran all around MBP every single Sunday morning when we lived there) - are they recent plantings? And by recent I mean anything after 1995... They seem to be in the SE corner of MBP?

they are about 1/2 mile south of the clairmont dr.exit.

there is a plaque that says 1992.could those jubes have gotten that big so fast?

Very interesting - I obviously wasn't paying attention!! And I wouldn't think they could have been but so small even back then...Anyway, thanks for the photos and the info. Will have to check them out next time I'm there!

i work in clairmont & had been passing by these palms for years & always just assumed they were CIDPs until one day it just hit me:those are JUBEAS!!!

terrefic stills of Jubea & CIDP,this happens to be my favouriate palms.i was feasting in those visual delight of my loved ones.
