Thought I would share some pictures of my garden in northwest England from today as the sun has decided to make an appearance after two cool cloudy days, hope you like them!

Your garden is coming along nicely. I bet, looking out your window on a cool cloudy day, it seems it's actually balmy.

No when its cool and cloudy it always seems that way here :) This month has been great generally and the outlook is good this week up to 23c lows of 12c and sunny.

To have a garden like that in England is a real testament to some mad skillz. I could relax out at the chairs in the sun with a large Pims. BLIMEY!

What a nice and well kept garden. It must be a great pleasure to spend time in it, either working or relaxing.

Haha the *last* place I would have guessed after seeing the second photo with the massive banana and the serene blue sky in the back would be England !! Thank you for posting !

Yes I plan to plant one of the Washingtonia maybe next summer. Following Dave's advice I will try and get the palm as big as can in a pot where I can still easily protect it by moving it to the greenhouse or close to the house or fleecing. Maybe it will be the year after, it depends how big it grows in that time.
